Climate

Being proximity to the equator and low elevations, Ghana has a typically tropical climate.  Hot and humid with big temperature difference between day and night, especially in the northern part of the country.  Rainy seasons lie between March to July and September to October.  Ghana is fine to visit all year round, especially during October to April, when humidity is the lowest and the weather is dry

Transportation

Accra Kotoka International Airport (ACC) is the main airport in Ghana. There is no national airlines company but British Airways, Emirates, Delta, Ethiopian Airlines, KLM and TAP have flights to Accra. 

Currency

Ghana Cedi (GHS) is the national currency of Ghana.  Credit cards Visa and MasterCard are mainly accepted in big urban cities.

Travel Tips

• Bilharzia is present in many of Ghana’s fresh water lakes and rivers, bottled water is suggested

• Pay attention when using credit cards to prevent credit card fraud
