Climate
Libya has a Mediterranean climate. Winters are mild and wet whereas summers are hot and dry.
Transportation
The two major international airports in Libya are Benina International Airport (BEN) and Tripoli International Airport (TIP). There are no direct flights to Tripoli, the capital of Libya. Travellers can fly to Istanbul and take Afriqiyah Airways to Tripoli or fly to Tunis and catch a connecting flight with Libyan Airlines.
Currency
The Libyan Dinar (LYD) is the national currency in Libya. Libya is a cash society, please beware that shortages of cash and restrictions on bank withdrawals is common throughout the country. Credit cards are not widely used although Visa and Mastercard are accepted in some places.
Travel Tips
• All travel to, from and within Libya is at the traveller’s risk. Local security situations are fragile and can quickly deteriorate into intense fightings and clashes without warning
Sudan

Climate
Sudan has a tropical climate. Summers are extremely hot throughout the country, whilst winters are cooler in the north. Sandstorms frequently occur in desert zone and blow across the Sahara from April to September. In the extreme north, there is little rain but the central region has some rainfall from July to August. The southern region has much higher rainfall, the wet season lasting from May to October.
Transportation
Khartoum International Airport (KRT) is the major airport. Sudan Airways is Sudan’s main carrier. Other indirect flights include Egyptair and Turkish Airlines.
Currency
Sudanese Pound (SD) is the national currency of Sudan. Credit cards are accepted on a very limited basis. Cash is advised.
