Climate
Extremely hot and particularly arid between June and August when the dusty Khamsin blows from the desert. Between October and April it is slightly cooler with occasional light rain; however, there is generally less than 150mm of rainfall annually.
Transportation
Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport (JIB) is the major airport. Djibouti-based Daallo Airlines operates flights to a handful of destinations, including Dubai, Jaddah and Nairobi. Besides, Air France is also an alternative option.
Currency
The Djibouti Franc (DJF) is the national currency of Djibouti. Visa credit cards are widely accepted at upmarket retails and ATMs. Travellers are also welcome to use US dollar and Euro in Djibouti.

Climate
Eritrea can be visited throughout the year because the country can be divided into 3 major zones: the central highlands, the coastal regions and the western lowlands, each region has its different climate pattern. Asmara enjoys a pleasant climate all year round. The rainy season for Asmara and the western lowlands is both from March to early September. The best time to travel to the coast is between February to April and it will be extremely hot if travel during the summer time.
Transportation
Asmara International Airport (ASM) is the main airport of the country. Airlines operating flights to Eritrea include Egyptair, Flydubai, Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines.
Currency
The Eritrea Nakfa (ERN) is the national currency of Eritirea. Credit card and traveller cheque are not accepted and cash is the only way to go.
